Buttons for Zara and I'm back in the land of the living

Mental week, ending with a beautiful cake for a little girl around the corner called Zara. Had flu all week and ended up in hospital with Harry on Thursday as D-doc thought he had meningitis, after 6 hours of being assessed and stuff it turned out he had tonsilitis. Still, at least I got an 'itis' for my €100.My, our, anniversary today and I completely forgot. We had two weddings y'see, one in New York which was just us, Garry and the reallyfastspeakingministerforthepeace and one wedding here with all our friends and family. I remember the latter.Anyway, the cake. 3 layers of chocolate fudge covered in a chocolate ganache then covered in fondant. Really like the look of this cake but those buttons take ages to thread - you think I'm joking, we seriously put all those threads on one by one by one by one by .. . . . . .The last time I made a chocolate cake Bernie binned it cos it fell apart when she tried to pick it up. Gutted. She said it's because I used butter instead of stork but I think she was being kind. She is the Master Baker. I am merely the Caker. I make 'em look pretty but she makes them edible.
