Jesus, Cake Sale and Headaches

Today was our annual school cake sale.  It pissed rain.  I made the brightest, tackiest cake I could.  Then had to carry it in the rain whilst Oz gave out that his hair was getting wet.  He's 5.  Sale raised a huge amount of money for the school.  Curious to see how much money the 'guess how many smarties' game raised.  Curious as I made the cake and Harry counted in the smarties.  174 of them to be precise.  Three people guessed including one mad little boy who simply walked up to the table, put his 20 cent down and said "174".  Mental.

Noise levels made headache worse so stagged home, in car????????????, to take painkillers and go to bed for an hour.  Thank you very much Darren for allowing that.

Finally tracked down my lovely aunt Lily today who is alive and kicking.  Should rephrase that, she's not long-lost or anything she just fell off the planet for a couple of weeks, try 8, and scared the shite out of me by not being contactable (is that a word?),  Anyway, she's alive and well and broken leg is healing.  Phew.  She's pretty much all I have left and I love her and hate when she slips down the back of the planet.

Speaking of planets.  There was a meteor shower over Ireland yesterday.  Cool is looked too.  We were talking about it in the car when Arthur said he'd like to go into space.  I told him he was in space and he replied ""We're in Spaaaaaaaaaaaaace?" in a 'duh' kinda voice.  He insisted we weren't in space even though a few months before there were huge revelations, again in the car, when Spiritualized's 'Ladies and Gentlemen' came on the cd.  With the line 'ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space'.  We all had big wig out at the idea (even though we DID know) that we are in fact floating in space.

Sleep tightx
