My sister, who is well and truly the best aunt ever, knit Arthur this lovely sweater. Gorgeous, huh? What happens? The first time I washed it it bloody shrunk. Okay, obviously I helped shrink it but jesus I'm gutted.
Feel awful, absolutely awful but . . . . when it no longer fits him ( and it should've fit him for another year ) I'm going to ask her to take it carefully apart and turn it into a cushion cover. Still, at least Oz's monkey jumper is still going strong.
Speaking of Oscar, we went to Howth yesterday and whilst I was buying a very delicious wrap from the lebanese people Oscar was standing outside a restaurant with Darren and the rest of the crew. The following conversation then took place:
Oscar: The people in that restaurant are eating dead sea creatures.
Darren: What?? Fish?!
Oscar: Yes!!
Methinks we watch too much spongebob.
Other than that life has been very quiet. Trying to sort out website for the perfectionist confectionist. Trying to try new recipes. Went to Rachel Allan fundraiser night for PACT http://www.pact.ie/ and she was fantastic. Made her lovely orange roulade and drank Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much wine on the night. Was so thirsty I skulled 4 glasses in something like 15 minutes!!! Then had to get up for work the following day. Still, it was a great night and I hope they raised lots of money.
Am brain dead. Shall sit quietly now for a bit before going belly dancing. Ick.
