Quite a claim right? I love reading. At the moment I'm reading Love in a Cold Country by Nancy Mitford and Toast - a boy's hunger by Nigel Slater AND Eating for England by Nigel Slater. Nancy is beside the bed. Toast is in the, ahem loo and Eating for England is in the car. Like I said, I love reading. This book, there is a website too which I check out daily, is made up of all those things that make life 'awesome' or 'deadly' if you're from Dublin. Examples: Going through the whole day thinking it's Thursday but it's really Friday. Laughing so hard you don't make a sound (something I do a lot with a friend of mine called Clo and now another friend called Sinead). The smell of crayons. Waking up before your alarm goes off and finding out you've loaaaads of sleeptime left. Etc.
Hmm, what are my favourite/deadly things:
Smell of rain.
Going on the swing when no one is around.
Finding keys.
The 'whoohoo' you feel after your survive seeing a spider.
Finding great, odd little shops.
New friends.
Flea market on a Sunday Morning.
Smell of babies necks.
Aloneness with sons. no 1, 2 and 3.
Hugging.
Smell of the countryside.
Opening bars of favourite songs.
Slides.
Dancing madly.
Ducks. Esp. wonky ducks on Portmarnock whatever it's called.
......................................................................... yeah, life can be deadly. xx
