Boys birthdays and Easter Eggs

Haven't touched this in ages, mainly as up to ears in wedding cake and birthdays.  Plus, trying to do easter egg hunt in house tomorrow for kids which may or may not work.  PLUS have many, many people coming to dinner tomorrow so that should be fun.  Harry was nine on the 1st of  April and here he is, my original boy wonder blowing out his candles.  Isn't he beautiful?

Think he had a good day for his birthday.  Lots of cool presents wrapped in christmas paper - April Fool's after all.  Then poor D. took him and eight of his mates to the cinema - apparently it's a 'NEVER AGAIN' situation, but that's what we said last year lol.  Whilst he was there I was at home making Harry's cake and chilling with the borrowed boy and Arthur.  Oz was at another party, dropped back so I didn't have to leave house and the lovely lady who dropped him back gave me a very nice lemon candle which is burning happily away now.  Ta Sinead.

Yesterday we braved the zoo.  Rang Carol at 10 to find out she had been up since god knows when, had fed herself and all the kids and packed up the car.  I was in bed when I rang.  Had rung to say 'Er, we doing this today?  You seen the weather?'  She had indeed and was determined to get out of the house.  Nothing like three small kids to make you want to get out of the house.   Got to zoo at 11 only to decide weather really was too bad so bailed to a soft play centre.  Kids played.  We drank tea and ate stuff ( mostly chocolate - so much for weightwatchers ) before peeking out window and deciding the rain was lifting and we were going to go to the zoo afterall.  Had a great day out but saw feck all animals.  I lie, we saw penguins, some squirrel monkeys and . . . three sleeping tigers sssssssshhhhhhhhh.  Oh and an oryx hiding in the oryx house.

Home to a bath.  Then friends.  Then food.  I lead a pretty boring life really.
