The sunshine continues

So the house looks pants but it's sunny.  I mean c'mon, it could be lashing tomorrow.  Even as I speak there are weather warnings of frost on Thursday.  At the school today there were a determined bunch of mammies refusing to acknowledge the sudden dip in temperatures by keeping their shoulders out.  And yup, I was one of them.  Also wearing my beautiful necklace as made by Harry.  He collected shells yesterday when we went to the beach.  There are about 40 shells on it and it and it weighs a frickin tonne and smells of the sea but he was delighted to see me wear it when I picked him up from school.  He did ask, as expected, if I'd worn it all day?  I said 'yuhuh, I had' and he beamed.  Ssssh, don't tell him I didn't, remember how I said it smelt of the sea and weighed a tonne?
Yeah, we went to the beach yesterday evening and managed to find a dead crab a tonne of shells and some sort of spongy thing that looked well dodgey.  Also managed to climb rocks, fall into puddles (why is it called paddling and not puddling?) and stay out well beyond bedtime which meant by the time we got home the kids were shattered and I was cranky.  Had great fun with Oz.  In the first photo he is showing the crab he caught (must point out that it's very easy to catch a dead crab) in the second he is running for his life as Darren had screamed "OSCAR, LOOK OUT.  SHARK.  RUN OSCAR RUN!!!!", he ran and we nearly wet ourselves laughing.  It was worth the look of sheer . . . . how could you? on his face.

Bet you couldn't resist either.
Met the boys across the road this morning "Alright?", "Yeah (but bloody mortified ),  you?", "Good, great seeing you".  Oh god but they're funny.  Buggers.
What else?  Nah, that's it.  Going to think about hoovering or dusting or something.  I actually offered to help a mate with these things when she's laid up after back surgery and I can't even pull it off here.  Easier to do stuff when it's not in your own house and it's because you're being nice.  Hate housework.  Invisible work.  Undone before you've even properly finished it, at least it is if you let the kids into the house before you've finished it.  I ofen wonder if those people on 'How Clean is Your House' and the like just one day say 'F72k it, what't the point?  Kids will be home in half an hour . . . ."
Later then. xx
