A very special someone's third birthday.

We have a chap in our house who answers to the name of Monkey (actually, if he did answer to the name of monkey I think I'd poop myself - talking toys not a good thing ).
He is now three years of age to Oscar but in reality he is about 8 as he was first given to, and dismissed by, Harry.
Oscar loves, loves, loves this monkey.  He lost his tail in a battle with a young Billy.  Billy, oddly enough also felt a sting in his tail as he got a foot up it for biting monkey's off.  Billy then retaliated when no-one was looking by making off with Monkey's left ear.  Myself and Oscar sat down and made a new one for him out of a bandana that we had brought back from Fuertaventura.
Poor monkey then suffered a nearly fatal injury when I got annoyed trying to get everyone out of the car in the rain and the seatbelt clip practically removed half his face.  It goes to show what a good surgeon I am that you can hardly see the scar now.  Then the other ear got loved to death by Oscar and had to be reattached.
At this time we were starting to fear for Monkey's sanity.  That's an awful lot of operations for a young monkey to have to go through.  But make it he did and he's here to tell the tail (sorry), tale!

So, Monkey, we salute and love you and, all together now:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOOOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MONKEY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU xxxxxxx
