Love, love, love waking up on sunny Sundays. Okay, so I woke up tired but what they hey. Also woke up to discover kids had been up for approx. 3 hours ( I got up at 10.30 ) and had eaten everything they could reach. Deduced this from their chocolately mouths and the fact that nearly every biscuit in the house was gone along with every packet of cereal being opened. Love, love, love the fact that they can do this and none of them is a one year old or younger! Mad, for ages I pined for another baby and now . . . . it's nice that they are getting older. Scary that they are getting older but very nice that there are no night feeds.
Spent day pottering about in garden and tidying things. Am hoping that my friend Mandy will keep to her word (she will, she's lovely) and come and help me do the garden. 'The Garden', sounds like something epic. Tis only a courtyard thing but it's my courtyard thing. Anyway, she promised to help me suss out what is in garden in return for a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. Love bartering. Also spent day de-nitting kids. Quite satisfying really. Remember the first time I had to do Harry and was bloody horrified. Now I love catching the little buggers or creatures as we call them here. Decided it was time for chemical warefare here so fingers crossed we got the last of the little b'stards.
Then it was to bed around 5 as I had a really bad headache. Headache is now gone but unfortunately it means I am now wide awake at 11.20pm. Darren is ironing and watching star trek so I am catching up on emails and stuff.
Here's one of the latest cakes I did. This was for my lovely friend Gwen's dad Lar. He celebrated his 70th birthday with a surprise party. He was delighted with both the party and the cakes he received. I did this one and his sister (sister-in-law), the lovely Ann, made a volkswagen camper van. She also managed to bring it over on a plane from London!!!!!! Her van rocked. I was gutted when she chose to do the van as the Blanik scared the pants off of me but oooh, I did like doing that plane. However, now I just look at it and go 'hmmm, could do that better next time'.
Right, time for Star Trek. Sleep tight.
