Our Tragic Universe - Scarlett Thomas. "Could there be an important connection between a wild beast living on Dartmoor, a ship in a bottle, the science of time, a knitting pattern for the shape of the universe and the Cottingley Fairies? Or is her life just one long chain of coindidences?" I'LL LET YOU KNOW.

Atlantic Shift - Emily Barr. "It all too soon becomes apparent that breaking the rules - and escaping from your past - isn't all it's cracked up to be".  Read this and must say I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Did find the main character a pain in the arse, self indulgent, intolerable in fact but that's the point.  The question being 'why?'  Definitely recommend to everyone.

This age we're living in - David Wilson. "Only two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large spining rock hurtling through space at about 67,000miles an hour, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help?" Now this book is utterly fantastic.  It's his first book and I, for one, shall be on the lookout for more.  It's an absolute joy to read.  You'll really care for George and enjoy his journey.

Men from Boys - Tony Parsons. "Ten Years on from Man and Boy it's crunch time for Harry". Yeah, remember the Man and Boy one. Enjoyed it. Let's see how this goes.

The Comfortable Home - Jane Burdon. "Here are the informed answers to all your furnishing dilemmas".  Yawn.

Flea Market Style - Emily Chalmers withwords by Ali Hanan. "All the information and advice you need to create a disticntively original home".  Absolutely brilliant.  Okay, so some of it is way over the top but I have to say I really enjoyed flicking through this book

Convertible Houses - Amanda Lam and Amy Thomas. Basically this book just makes you want to burn your house to the ground and start again!  Yup, I was right.  This is one that I want to own.  Fascinating read and spent a good couple of hours actually reading it rather than just enjoying the pictures.  One house in particular really stood out and that was the Drawer House.
